Water Watch continues

Water Watch is still in effect.
The Water Production Department reported the 1st intake is still visible keeping us in a Water Watch.


When you save water, you save money on your utility bills too.  Saving water is easy for everyone to do.

Here are some tips to conserve water


* Check and fix faucets and pipes for leaks

* Don’t use the toilet as an ashtray or waste

* Check your toilets for leaks – dye tablets available here

* Install water-saving shower heads and aerators - water-saving shower heads and aerators available

           here  (output on shower heads 1.8 gal per minute)

* Put plastic bottles or float booster in your toilet tank – toilet water saver bags available


* Insulate your water pipes – It’s easy and inexpensive to insulate your water pipes with pipe


* Take shorter showers

* Turn off the water after you get your toothbrush wet

* Turn off the water when you shave and rinse your razor in the sink

* Use your dishwasher and clothes washer for only full loads

* Minimize use of kitchen sink garbage disposal units

* When washing dishes by hand, don’t leave the water running for rinsing

* Don’t let the faucet run while you clean vegetables

* Keep a bottle of drinking water in the fridge

* Wash your fruits and vegetables in a pan of water instead of running water from the tap
